Marie Thüler: The Artistic Journey of
a Swiss Painter with a Ukrainian Soul

Marie Thüler is a Swiss fine-art painter with a Ukrainian soul, whose vibrant and romantic works captivate the imagination and celebrate the beauty of nature. She is not only a renowned artist but also the founder and a dedicated professor at the ART’itude School of Fine Arts, located in the Lausanne region.

Marie’s paintings, characterized by their vivid colors and vitality, are a testament to her rich inner world and her desire to share the lyrical beauty of nature with her audience. Her art is a harmonious blend of her cultural heritage and her profound appreciation for the landscapes that surround her.

Educated at the School of Fine Arts in Nikolaev and holding a degree in graphic and industrial design from the Maritime University in Nikolaev, Ukraine, Marie relocated to Lausanne, Switzerland, in 2006. The picturesque landscapes and the abundant natural beauty of her new homeland became an endless source of inspiration, propelling her to create new and enchanting collections.

The serene walks along Lake Geneva, with its crystal-clear waters and lively yachting competitions, inspired Marie to create her renowned "Regattas" collection. This body of work has been exhibited in galleries along the Swiss Riviera and in Paris, and it has become a cherished addition to private collections of modern art enthusiasts.

Marie is also enchanted by the charming Swiss and French villages, with their romantic ambiance of blooming gardens and historic houses nestled in greenery. These idyllic scenes are among her favorite subjects to paint.

In her commitment to nurturing the next generation of artists, Marie founded the ART’itude School of Fine Arts in 2013. The school quickly gained regional acclaim for its high academic standards, diverse curriculum, and its successful preparation of students for admission to prestigious design and visual arts institutions in Switzerland. Each year, hundreds of students engage in significant projects and exhibitions under her guidance.

In 2021, with the support of the Honorary Consulate of Russia, the city of Lausanne inaugurated the new gallery at the historic Tower of Sauvabelin with Marie’s exhibition "A Breath of Renewal." This collection of watercolors, printed on plexiglass, is displayed in the observation tower, drawing thousands of visitors annually.

Currently, Marie is working on a major watercolor collection commissioned by the organizers of the "Dahlias on the Quays" festival in Morges. Her paintings, printed on plexiglass, will adorn the lakeside promenade during the summer and autumn of 2021, amidst over 500 varieties of rare dahlias. Art enthusiasts will have the opportunity to purchase original paintings and fashion accessories featuring Marie’s artwork to support the festival.

In addition to her exhibitions and educational endeavors, Marie also accepts commissions, delighting in creating personalized portraits and bespoke paintings.
